Memphis is a city of amazement in both music and hospitality. Wherever you go in the city, you can see people strolling along a sidewalk or sitting on a front porch. From museums to shopping centers, you are sure to find something to do in marvelous Memphis.

1. Sun Studio

This is one of the attractions where you can view some of the pictures of famous people who have got their start in Memphis. Elvis Presley recorded one of his first albums in this studio. Other artists include Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis. There is a museum upstairs.

2. Memphis Zoo

One of the largest zoos in the area, the Memphis Zoo has animals from across the world. The panda is one of the most popular exhibits.

3. Stax Museum

It only takes about an hour to tour this museum. Music is played through the entire building. While walking through, you can listen to one song at a time while learning about Stax.

4. National Civil Rights Museum

If you enjoy history, then this is the place for you. Walk through exhibits that feature the movements of the time period. The Freedom Sister's exhibit is one of the largest. Tours are offered, or you can walk through by yourself.

5. Levitt Shell

This is an attraction where you can listen to beautiful music while it is played outside. The acoustics are fantastic, and there are various groups featured through the year.

6. AutoZone Park

The family can enjoy a baseball game in the spring or another outdoor event that is held in the park. Car shows re also held here.

7. Graceland

Tour the famous home of Elvis Presley up close and personal. Look at various rooms on display as well as the kitchen and living room. The home is decorated for the Christmas holiday in lights and bows.

8. Shelby Farms Park

Take an afternoon away from home by spending it here. You can sit in the grass while children play, or you can walk along the small pond that is in the middle of the park.

9. Elmwood Cemetery

Examine some of the oldest graves in the area. This attraction is best if you take the audio tour.

10. Botanic Garden

Take pictures of gorgeous flowers at almost any time of the year. There are plants and colorful flowers that bloom along small streams and rocks. This is a peaceful location if you need to get away from the city.
