The Hydration Room was founded in December 2014 by board-certified anesthesiologists, Dr. Brett Florie and Dr. Elizabeth Bales. Patients visiting the Hydration Room receive basic IV and injection therapy in a zen, spa-like environment without the hassle and the cost of an ER visit. Like the Hydration Room’s Newport Beach clinic, the new Laguna Beach location offers IV and injection therapy treatments to help restore patients to better health. The anti-stress shot is virtually painless and kicks in about 30 minutes after the injection. One of the Hydration Room’s nurses, Tessa Newman, describes the post-injection sensation like “the relaxed feeling one has after drinking a glass of red wine.”
