Job Description:
The Account Manager is responsible for establishing and developing new business contacts, maintaining current relationships, and developing and implementing the sales and marketing plan. This person will cover the geography territory as of the Greater New Orleans area.
Responsibilities:
· Set and achieve goals including:
· Participate in setting territory goals
· Monitor collection of orders
· Meet short and long term goals
· Maintain knowledge about market environment, Account, territory, competitors, changes in health care systems etc. and forward this information to EGAN Management in a timely fashion.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with key referral sources
· Create and maintain direct contact with specific referral sources and provide necessary support and information.
· Identify Target referral sources, qualify payer mix and volume
· Obtain contracts, dates and information
· Identify Competitors and what referral sources use them, understand competitor strength and weaknesses.
· Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing and potential referral sources.
· Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
· Account Manager understands and effectively implements the sales process to include: probing, handling objections, supporting, closing and giving presentations.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of outside sales or outside marketing experience (B2B) *****REQUIRED*****
- Associate Degree or higher preferred but not required
- Experience in healthcare sector preferred
