My wife and I were relocating our daughter from Jackson, MS to Montgomery Ala because she is going to school there. We decided on Eagle Landing, completed all the paperwork, and paid our security deposit to hold the apartment. We had it set up to move in on July 13, 2013. The day before leaving, I had purchased a U-Haul and loaded all the furniture, so I decided to call Eagle Landing to find out the earliest we could pick up the key. To my surprise, the guy I spoke with had no knowledge of anyone by our last name moving in the next day. After I gave him a description of the lady we gave our security deposit to, he got her to the phone. Turns out her name was Taylor. My mouth dropped when she told me that she had gotten promoted to another position and had forgotten about us and subsequently had rented the apartment to someone else. Even though we paid our security deposit and mind you, security deposits are supposed to hold an apartment, we were stuck with no apartment, had purchased a U-Haul, my wife and I both had put in for vacation time with our jobs to complete the move and the best this company could do for us was to move us in to a different apartment the following week. Needless to say, we were not very happy. Taylor said they could give us our security deposit back so we agreed to that. It has been 9 days since they said they mailed it from Alabama to Mississippi but still no security deposit. Called back and they said they had the address wrong; however, I’m sure the address was written correct on the application. We’re in the process of trying to find out who the Management Company is since Eagle Landing will not tell us; Googled it but no luck yet. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT rent from Eagle Landing. They do not adhere to good business practices. Take heed to this review and RUN RUN RUN!!
