maintenance is the highest of all the queens co-ops. many apt. have problems with vermin. management threatens tenants who call 311. and if you need anything fixed like a clogged toilet or leaky faucet they send you a separate bill in addition to the $1300 you already pay in monthly maintenance. when you buy into a co-op if the maintenance is higher than your mortgage that means that co-op is in the red, steer clear or you will regret it! you can't sell because the maintenance is high and the grounds look in such bad condition. take a walk around and look at the porticos, columns, side walks, doors, and brick siding, yikes. also look at how many people are trying to sell their units. that's a clear sign that this place in is the hole. do your homework before you invest here, unless you are related to the people who work there or are on the board, then you get a bug discount. no worries.....

What a wonderful hideaway in Queens. When i first saw the place, i fell absolutely in love. greenry, trees, backgardens, playgrounds, it's like you're not even in the city anymore.. it transports you back to a time where all the neighbors know each other, watch our for each others kids, having community bbq's.
