Amazon Grill

I decided to bring my team here for our holiday lunch on Dec 19th. We were very excited since I always loved going to the Ipanema Brazilian Grill (which is closed at the current time.) Unfortunately, this is a very sad excuse for a Brazilian grill.

Where to begin...The music was so loud when I walked in that I could not hear what the waiter was saying to me. As I was walking to the table I noticed the floor is very uneven (looks like water damage.) That wasn't a huge deal, but I noticed. The salad bar is way smaller than Ipanema (or the other grills I have been to in Vegas and Boise.) Now for the really bad stuff: One of the meat servers sliced my co-workers finger!! Then, the server that just cut my friend tried to use the same knife to cut us more meat!! GROSS. The manager NEVER came to the table. They offered a small band aid (which she bled through...her bleeding didn't stop for over 30 minutes). No napkins were offered. When we asked for an antiseptic, they claimed they didn't have any and brought her a shot of vodka (I so wish I were making this up!) I give the server credit for at least being creative and trying to help. Again..still no manager, no incident report, nothing.

As I was leaving, I asked for a manager. They woman helping me was not wanting to get the manager. She finally went back to get her, and almost 10 minutes later, comes back out and says the manager "has appeared to have stepped out" They did not apologize, comp anything. Basically, they were just acting like nothing happened... I left my business card with my cell phone number on it. To this day they have never called as I requested.

I understand accidents happen. However, I also understand that when you own a business you take care of your customers.

What a beautiful restaurant!!! I love the happy hour (3-7), its my new favorite restaurant to hang out with my friends and family. The cocktails are strong, delicious and not that expensive. I would recommend this restaurant anytime to anyone.

The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant is amazing. We are so excited that there's one in Bellevue opening, we hear in the middle of April!! Cant wait!!! Peruvian and Brazilian food is hard to find, especially in Washington. I'm from Peru, so I'm a terribly hard critic, and I love this restaurant, brings me back to home.
