Richard A Gray, Esq.

Richard Gray is a principal of the firm in the Family Law practice group. He has been practicing family law and domestic relations for twenty six years in three jurisdictions. He also has extensive experience as a trial lawyer in criminal law and civil litigation.

Mr. Gray's sole practice area since 2000 has been Family law and Domestic Relations including all aspects of divorce: Custody, visitation, child and spousal support, business valuation, property valuation and equitable distribution of property. He also prepares premarital and post-nuptial agreements.

Mr. Gray was trained in 2009 as a Collaborative Lawyer; and as such, assists clients to resolve their domestic cases in a collaborative environment without the necessity of litigation. resolution of domestic disputes in a collaborative law setting can consist of just the two attorneys for the parties and a financial neutral; or it can be expanded to include coaches for each party and even a child specialist if the case warrants the additional expertise.

Mr. Gray has had extensive mediation training including at The Northern Virginia Mediation and Conciliation Training Center, Fairfax, Va.

Mr. Gray's trial practice includes all circuit and juvenile and domestic relations district courts throughout Northern Virginia including Alexandria City, Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun, Fauquier and Culpeper Counties.

Mr. Gray has been repeatedly listed among Virginia Business magazine as a "Legal Elite" since 2009 as well as Super Lawyers for Virginia and the District of Columbia since 2006. He is also listed among the "Top Attorneys in Virginia" in Richmond Magazine for 2012 and 2013.
