We also interviewed several companies and obtained multiple quotes. ? In the end, we chose New York Movers, have no regrets, and give our highest recommendation. We kept reading online about how we should avoid companies who quote based on cubic feet, so we were hesitant with New York Movers at first. ? We moved locally within Manhattan on November 24 , we were nervous because our date is like in the busiest moving weekend . Although I am sure they were very busy that day, NY Moving- NYC Moving made us feel like we were a priority. They were on time both at pickup and delivery. The movers worked hard the entire move, even though it was so hot! They were courteous, helpful, and very efficient. The office team that coordinated the move and called on to follow up before and after also made the entire moving process pleasant. The price is reasonable and worth it! I have nothing but good things to report. I had a small move: transferring my not-too-big storage unit contents into a one bedroom apartment. They sent a two men crew that came ready to work. They didn?t waste a minute emptying my storage place and had everything in my apartment pretty fast. My only problematic item was a huge dresser made of heavy wood. This thing is a monster, but I will never get rid of it as it is truly one of a kind. They wrapped it nicely with blankets, protected the railing as they carried it over it with careful planning and team work. I?m definitely not planning on ever moving that thing on my own, so I was lucky to have the right New York Movers around.

I found NY Moving- NYC Moving on Google. I was skeptical at first, reading all these reviews and wondered "really? everyone gives a 5 stars?" very upset and disappointed by my last relocation experience from another Manhattan moving company just few months before, I was extra careful this time about selecting a trustworthy service providers. Based on these reviews I gave it a try, and now I can tell you that these reviews are all real!! and you should not look anywhere else when you are hiring a moving company. They are polite, professional, and extremely pleasant to dealt with. The company and the moving staff accommodate my specific delivery time, Nathan said he will be here at 10:30 am and he arrived 10:30 am sharp. They put new pads to walk on in my apartment since the carpet is new. They went above and beyond, even hook up the washer and dryer for us.
Moving with this company, from the people in the office to the moving crews, I have had I would said a "perfect moving experience" and really am not exaggerated.
Best of all, after they picked up the stuff and weighted, my stuff weighted lighter than the quote, and they gave me money back!!!!

These movers really saved me when the original company I hired did not show up. I called NY Moving- NYC Moving at 9am on Sunday, November 17th, they took all of my information, gave me a quote and had a truck with 3 movers at my building by 1pm. They were fast, efficient, careful and friendly. They packed loaded and delivered my things from Fort Lee NJ to NYC in 4 hours, AMAZING! The best part was that the quote was what I paid at delivery, no inflation like all of the other times I have moved, great service

People - This company is the one to use (at least when moving your home...) - price is right, service is unreal ... I mean these guys did EVERYTHING I asked for - wrapped every single piece, cleaned up the apt. (actually swept the place...) helped me arrange my home - one of the guys told me that he is studying to be an interior designer.... put everthing where I asked them to ----- AND ... took all the garbage with them.
NOTHING broken, estimate was right on, even got a thank-you card in the mail a few days later along with a small gift - are these people for real????

By a recommendation from the super from the builiding I moved into in JC, I called Alpha Moving. They quoted me a reasonable hourly rate, and followed it up w/ a written confirmation. On the day of the move, they were timely, quick, efficient and on the money with respect to the estimate. Great bunch of guys too. I highly recommend!

This was our first time using NY Moving- NYC Moving to move us from Hoboken to Brooklyn. The movers were very professional and they took great care in packing and moving our furniture and boxes. We were very impressed and highly recommend their services to anyone who is planning a move.

They provided an estimate that was cnsiderably less then rest of the companies. On the day of the move, the NY Moving- NYC Moving team arrived promptly at 7 am, quickly and professionally loaded all of our stuff onto the truck, and headed for Boston. We met them at our new apartment some hours later, and they unloaded everything and put together our furniture in under an hour. The were extremely professional, careful, and friendly throughout the day. And, since they worked so quickly, the final cost was over $220 less than the estimate, so we saved a lot of money.Overall, this was an extremely easy moving experience. New York Moving Movers helped my husband and I move from a one bedroom/loft in Brooklyn to a one bedroom in Manhattan exactly one month ago today. Good deal, on-time arrival at 10 AM as requested, super professional care, excellent service, friendly communication, efficient use of their time and our time.
FYI: Book early if you desire a weekend move - with almost a month in advance we still had to settle for a Thursday or a Monday. Considering the savings (compared to our previous moves with a national chain) however, they were definitely worth taking the day off work.

Moving is one of my least favorite things in life, perhaps tied along with going to the dentist. Unfortunately for me, I have to move almost as often as I go to the dentist, whether for school, work, etc. This time I decided I was not going to do this on my own and decided to hire some professionals. I called New York Moving Movers, about 4 days before my move and they were able to get the time/day I needed with no trouble. The women who helped me were really friendly and asked all the right questions about my move so she could get the info she needed to the movers. I told her I had a couch that would likely have to be hoisted over the balcony because it wouldn't fit through the door, and she said that was no problem. I chose 3 movers for $ 105/hr (because 3 men were needed for the couch).
The morning of moving day, the movers showed up at the scheduled time. Once they got there, they worked quickly and efficiently, and were super friendly. They hoisted the couch over the balcony with no trouble at all, and shrink wrapped all my stuff to keep it protected. Then they drove from Pasadena to the storage unit in OC where my stuff was being stored. They got slightly lost, but didn't charge me for that extra time when it came time to settle the bill. All in all, the move couldn't have gone more smoothly, and they were super careful with all of my belongings. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

My experience with the New York Moving was above and beyond anything I was expecting. I was prepared for a no-frills type of move--I'm low-maintenance and also saw prior reviews about potential gruff telephone interactions.
The person with whom I scheduled my move was incredibly pleasant and followed up a few days before the date to confirm. Everything went swimmingly from start to finish.
First of all, they were punctual, arriving at our apartment at exactly the time they said they would. There were three guys and they HUSTLED. They were literally jogging back and forth to make sure that it was the most efficient move possible. Even my boyfriend--who was somewhat skeptical of New York Moving, sight unseen--was very impressed.
As for price, was very affordable. Everything that was mentioned to me over the phone was the prices that were provided for me.
Incredibly professional, polite and earnest New York Moving have secured my boyfriend and my business for all future moves.

We highly recommend this Moving Company ( NY Moving- NYC Moving ) to anyone. The great service began when we asked for someone to come down and give us a free quote. Talk about efficiency - same day Mike from NY Moving- NYC Moving (who is nice, helpful and professional) came, gave us a very reasonable and firmed quote on the spot. By 'very reasonable' I mean their price beat others movers by a big margin, Even that they reduced their first quotes by about 20%!! So you would think we would get a raw deal at this price? Not at all. Both of us considered NY Moving- NYC Moving as the best mover we had so far. Personally, I think big moving companies may charge more because they have an established brand and size, but also because of their size, in my view they are also less likely to provide the kind of personal service and quality control that smaller companies like NY Moving- NYC Moving can offer. It definitely showed in our move that NY Movers 10025proved that they have these special qualities. It was a tough move. We needed to move from two locations (one ground floor and one fifth floor walk-up) to a fourth-floor walk-up. Apart from the usual household stuff, we also had to move a professional sound-proof room which literally weighs a ton. Four guys (including Mike who was the team leader that day) and one large truck turned up on time that freezing morning. Despite the stairs and the weight, they moved at lightning speed, handle everything with care and did it with a smile. We found all of them friendly, nice and professional to deal with all the way till the end. Totally trouble-free!! Nothing broken, nothing missing. The price is excellent. No nasty surprises. What more can you ask for? We will definitely use them again.

NY Moving- NYC Moving came highly recommended to me from friends at my office - when I called, the guy who answer the phone (Mike ) had this quick respond type of representation (the way I like it) - he didn't waste any time - he knew the building I was going to move into - he knew how long it's going to take- and most important he made me feel comfortable : he was honest and this guy knew what he was talking about - every scenario I asked about - he had a direct, straight forward answer . The price was fair - and it was a guaranteed price – Mike explains how this system is better the hourly charges - and what can I say? It makes sense. The day of the move came - and the guys arrived 10 minutes early. The head guy - Lenny (I hope I got the name right) filled up the paperwork with me - and the next thing you know - this guys started to run up and down the stairs in a chain system. now, this no joke, I had a lot of stuff and everything came down 6 flights of stairs, this guys didn't stop for a break - even item that wasn't so important - they wrapped and protected, Lenny (the head guy) was commanding the guys and they obey for what ever he said with respect. It was like watching a Special Forces platoon in action. when we got to the new building the superintendent was kind of fussy - he start giving us attitude both me and the movers - but, again Mike handle the situation in the coolest way - the just kept working till the super came down. At the end - I was very happy, and when I gave them the tip - they all thank me. I'm telling you - you don't meet people like that every day. These guys are awesome – NY Moving- NYC Moving

Very prepared and ready to do the job... even though I did my own packing they came prepared with a few extra "last minute" boxes- very handy when you get down to those last little bits without a box to spare! Today, we moved from Brooklyn to Long Island. NY Moving- NYC Moving gave us a great price and everyone was super nice and willing to work with us. The movers showed up on time. Not only did your NY Moving - New York City Moving get me out of my old home and into my new home lickity split, but it was fun! I like to joke around and some people tend to not get my sense of humor. Your guys were right on it, belting out jokes of their own. I got along with Rico and Kris extremely well. Most importantly, they laughed and joked without missing a beat. My possessions were damage-free, as was my ego. Even if they were just humoring me half the time, they did better than 99% of the people I encounter. As a college student living in New York and going to school in Washington, I've had to move in and move out every year. Using New York Movers was the best idea ever. The guys were nice, efficient, and thorough. The price is the lowest (I check all the time). What else could you ask from movers?! I just showed them where all the furniture and boxes were that needed to be moved and 30 minutes later it was all in the truck. I got in my car and when I got to Washington they were only 25 minutes behind me. They brought everything up quickly and asked me exactly where I wanted things. If I changed my mind and wanted the furniture switched they had no problem accommodating and just went to work. I will be using the same guys to move me out next June and each time I need to move anywhere!
