If I could give zero stars I certainly would! I was referred by a friend and requested a tour. Upon completion of the tour I inquired if the registration fee was refundable if we decided not to enroll our infant. Jill informed me that it was 100% refundable, and was used as a placeholder for my child’s spot. I paid the registration fee within 24hrs. In considering all the options we didn’t want to lose a spot since there was one available. When I called to inform them that I was not going to enroll my child at the scheduled time due to personal reasons, yet again I was reassured that my registration fee was refundable and under the guise of concern for what was happening told to leave the registration fee to continue to hold the spot in case things change, and if they didn’t, not to worry because I could still have the fee refunded. Today, I sent an email confirming my intention to not move forward with enrollment and requested the registration fee be refunded and was told “ unfortunately registration fees are non refundable”. I then proceeded to call since the reply email was without a signer/signature. I requested to speak with Jill, when she came to the call she denied ever telling me that. Now my tour was in January and my child was nearly 4mths old and I was clear that she wouldn’t be enrolled until she was six months. It is now June, why would anyone call darn near six months later requesting a refund if they were told the fee is non refundable? How can a business retain a registration fee if the registration never happened? Not to mention, not once did anyone from TLE reach out to me about enrollment, that is extremely odd especially when you’re supposedly holding a spot! It’s clear that this location would rather collect fees and alter student invoices reflecting higher amounts to increase their profit margins. A friend of mine was also a victim of their behavioral indiscretions around finance, ghost fees, and refusals to correct their wrongs. There is a pattern of financial abuse against marginalized individuals, it’s discriminatory and disgraceful!
