Dr. Matthew Blackwell is a native of Pickens, South Carolina and is excited to be returning back home to the upstate to provide dental care. Dr. Blackwell grew up as an avid golfer and attended Southern Wesleyan University where he played on the golf team and earned a degree in Pre-Medicine. After graduation from, SWU he married his high school sweetheart Gracie and they moved to Augusta, Georgia where he attended the Dental College of Georgia and earned his D.M.D in 2019. Dr. Blackwell chose to further his education by attending an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Dental College of Georgia where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Blackwell chose to attend a residency program to ensure that he was is able to provide his patients with the most up-to-date, comprehensive care possible. Dr. Blackwell is qualified to preform advanced restorative dentistry, root canals, and a variety surgical procedures such as dental implants. Friendly Staff At our office, we treat you like family. In his free time, Dr. Blackwell loves to play golf, fish, work on cars and anything sports related.
