Tire 24x7... MY WHEELS FELL OFF, What a nightmare to deal with!!! I found out about this company from tirerack.com and loved the idea of someone coming out to us to do our tires so I called tire 24x7's phone number, talked to a lady who came across the phone very nice, I ordered new tires for my truck and asked them to rebalance my trailer, I was told no problem sir and they came out few days later and did the work and that is where the problems started. They took 5 hours to do a set of wheels and balance another set which was ok with me even though they said they would be done within 2 hours. The work was about 4 hours in so I went out to check how they were doing making sure they were ok and looked at the wheel weights just to find out that they were being lazy didn't clean the brake dust off the inside of the rim so they stuck the wheel weights on a dirty rim which just fell of with just a tap of the finger. I brought up the issue and they didn't seem to happy that they had to redo the wheel balancing because they had to re-jack the truck and trailer to take all the wheels off but they did redo it. They let me know an hour later they were done and took off. The next day I go to use the trailer and 15 miles from leaving where they did the work, both trailer wheels FELL OFF ON THE FREEWAY!!! It seems that all the lugs were cross threaded on the studs because the stud threads are destroyed, I assume they took the impact gun to the wheels without confirming with screwing on by hand that they were threaded on correctly to the studs. Because both wheels fell off the trailer while on the freeway causing the trailer to drag down the road it damaged the trailer axle, brakes, hub, studs, trailer paint, body and 2 wheels that I couldn't find anywhere on the freeway. Even though this is going to cost a lot of money and labor to fix, in my mind the first thing I thought of was what if these trailer wheels bounced on the road and into someone's windshield killing them or causing them to lose control of the vehicle at high speeds. Then I thought about my family or even tire 24x7's other customers, luckily this was a trailer and we were in the safety of the truck but what if this company did a car packed with a family and the wheels fell off... I checked my truck took off the center cap to get the lugs and sure enough one lug was half way on the stud and also I see that they impacted the security bolt because the key to get the lug off is broken and now doesn't attach to the security lug, on the key it says not to use an impact gun because the high torque breaks the inside of the key. I now have to get someone to weld a bolt on top of the security bolt to put new lugs on because as it sits right now my wheels are trapped on the truck, I'll attach pictures. After all these problems I called back and explained what happened the lady said email her some pictures and she will get back to me to talk about compensation on the tuesday after the phone call... Tuesday was about a week and a half ago and I've heard nothing from them, not a call, email, nothing. I've called maybe 40 times in the past week, I've used different phone numbers and still nothing it just keeps ringing till you get a voicemail to leave a name and number to get a call back which I did and still nothing. I believe they are just taking calls by voicemail to avoid the situation but that is not how you run a business, customer service is everything, and I wouldn't be so upset if I could just talk to someone but by not talking it just inflames the situation. I'd ask that if your looking in to this company doing work for you, THINK TWICE, you life could depend on it.
