Podiatry Institute of Southern California: Albert Nejat, DPM, FACFAS

Albert Nejat, DPM, FACFAS, is a board-certified podiatrist and the leader of the team at the Podiatry Institute of Southern California in Culver City, California. Dr. Nejat has always been drawn to podiatry because it gives him the opportunity to often make people feel dramatically better in just a single visit. It is also his passion for educating patients on foot health. Having grown up in Los Angeles, Dr. Nejat is proud to offer his services to the community he calls home. Dr. Nejat pursued his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Irvine before receiving his podiatry degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He then continued his education through a residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center and a podiatric surgery residency at the Interfaith Medical Center, both in Brooklyn, New York. After opening up his own practice in New York and practicing there for several years, Dr. Nejat returned to his childhood home of Los Angeles in 2002 and has practiced here ever since. As a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and board-certified podiatrist, Dr. Nejat is kept up to date on the most recent developments concerning techniques and technology in podiatry. Patients frequently praise the personal attention they receive from Dr. Nejat, as his primary focus is not just on healing your injury, but on helping you prevent future injuries and strengthen and support your feet. As he always says “Put Your Feet First”. To stay physically active, Dr. Nejat participates in the yearly Malibu Triathlon. Throughout the rest of the year, he trains by attending indoor cycling classes, swimming in the ocean or doing laps in the pool, and weight training in the comfort of his garage. His wife often joins him in the weight-lifting, while his elementary school age twin girls attempt to do chin-ups between sets.
