"Our Wellness Examination for Your Dog and Cat" is done yearly and consisting of an exam of your pets coat for soft or brittle hair which would indicate over all health of your pet, checking skin for sores or irritation and lumps. Listen to the heart and lung for abnormal sounds that would indicate health issues. Check eyes for ulcers or vision impairment. Check teeth and mouth area for dental disease. Feel stomach area for lumps or enlargement of liver and other organs which would indicate health issues. Weight is also monitored so that if an increase or decrease would indicate some health issue that would need to be investigated. Also at this time vaccines would be recommended along with a blood test for Heartworm or Tick diseases such as Lyme disease would be done. After the examination is completed the Doctor will go over the finding of the examination. Recommendation for further testing or procedures would be discussed at this time.
On 7/21/12 I unfortunately had to let my best friend, Niki, go. This was the 1st time I ever had to make such a hard decision but the staff at HamiltonVet were so compassionate and caring & they made what was a horrible day more comforting to me and my family. The staff was very friendly and sincere in their condolences. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. X.O.X.O.
