Genuine Image Photography specializes in intentional designer portraiture. What this means is the portrait (photo) has a job and function where it is intended for home decor or marketing.

We have a unique process in creating our designs. We start with education on so you know what is possible and available to you. We feel if people have good information they can make the right decisions to take them to their ideal out come or goal. In our design process we ask specific questions to reveal the true desired need and want. It is at this point we start to sketch the outline and create the concept of what we are soon to photograph. By having an end goal in mind we set everything in place for successes.

Yes you have a camera, and really most people today do. Technology is becoming amazing and I encourage you to use your camera for all the spontaneous and meaningful moments in life. However there are key times when it is necessary to get some help in business and in your personal life.

There are several key things to consider when you are creating your executive, business or corporate portrait.

When I mentioned being intentional a moment ago, you might now be starting to understand why. We read body language and emotion. It is how we communicate non verbally. It does work the same way in portraiture. How you carry yourself, what your mind is thinking, what type of message you convey, it is all important.

When you take so much time and detail in being the expert you are in your profession, why would you want to cut a corner here? In todays world your portrait should be right next to your name. It is in a way, your own personal brand. That is a big job for an often little thumbnail. Think about it though. Let's use Linkedin for example. There are many many little thumbnail images of professionals. In a fraction of a second, before you can read the name you have made a judgement of the person. Since we are so quick to check in with our how do we "feel" instinct this person could instantly rub your the wrong or right way. This is not a question of if they look like a movie star, but more of do they look like someone I could trust? Do they look like someone who has attention to detail? You must think of your viewer. If someone was searching for a child care provider they are certainly looking for something in a person different than if they were looking for an attorney for an auto accident. The day of the smile and say cheese is passing for those who are serious of their reputation. If a person is selling themselves to become a team member of a company, then you would want to carefully consider the values of the company, maybe you do or maybe you don't want to be using a tie and sitting up straight. People want to do business with people they feel like they trust. This is one of the areas we guide you through and make it to your goal so your portraiture is intentional and effective.

Our studio is in a historic 100 year old cool little Red House which is just a relaxing 20 minute picturesque drive from Bellevue. It is 1 block from the Snoqualmie River with sunset views of Mt Si. This quaint location and warm atmosphere will set you right at home were you can unplug, relax and enjoy your Design Interview over a warm cup of coffee on the cool days or refreshing tea or strawberry lemonade on the warm days. On your Session Day, if your design is in studio, it is the perfect place to be yourself and to gain mental focus to reach your design goals. We have a beautiful changing room/restroom with artwork and a large claw foot tub. Cozy up in the open kitchen space to relax and be pampered from one of our two hair stylists and makeup artists if you'd like. On your Session Day take a break between looks and view the photographs on our comfy leather couch in our venetian plaster and crown molding warmly lit studio. Our Family Portrait Viewing and Ordering Appointment is wonderful! With music playing in the background and the citrus scent of essential oils, relax with your loved ones to your slideshow of images on our 10 foot projector screen. Toast your loved ones to the beauty of the life you have together as you see your precious moments unfold in front of your eyes. Our slide show viewing is a must for seeing what your final portrait will look like when it will be display in your home as a focal point while working with your style and decor. For our professional business people we welcome you to join us in our office for an immediate viewing after your session. If you'd like to stay for retouching and artwork we welcome you, we just ask you let us know when you schedule so we have time saved for you.
We kindly ask our guests to remove their shoes as we have old growth douglas fir floors. On your session day if it is raining or windy and you need an umbrella please call us when you arrive and we will meet you at your car door.Our guests are welcome by appointment only. Products Carried: When considering portraiture for home decor we like to think long term. We work with one of our nations top photographic labs and can create any of the local trend products. Our specialty is in our hand stretched signature canvas. Not all canvas is created alike. Our canvases are created from a boutique canvassing shop that has been crafting canvases for over 50 years. Top photographers use our same craftsman. Your canvas is created to be displayed as a focal point in your home.
