Dan Baylard received his J.D. from the University of Missouri – Kansas City Law School, where he was a member of the UMKC Law Review and a regular on the Dean’s List. He attended the University of Missouri – Columbia for his undergraduate degree and received a B.S. in Business Administration. He is a member of the Kansas City Missouri Bar Association, the KCMBA Young Lawyers Section and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. Dan Baylard is a member of the Bar for the State of Missouri, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, United States District Court for the District of Kansas and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.

He has appeared in State and Federal Court in both Missouri and Kansas and has presented cases before the Missouri Court of Appeals and the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Mr. Baylard's case of Hays v. Royer's, et al., created new law in Missouri under a negligent entrustment theory.
