Holly Havis Piano Studio

I teach jazz and classical piano, at all ages and10 levels. I teach classical and jazz piano, electric bass, improvisation and composition. I 10teach many styles including R&B, salsa, and rock. I can teach you to play by ear. I will go to your home to teach. I play piano, synthesizer and electric bass. I have BA in piano, MA in Ethnomusicology, PhD in Music Ed. I teach all ages and levels using mainly the Socratic method, critical thinking, and programmed learning with the goal of discovering and applying aesthetic principles. I enjoy Asian cultures and I live in a big beautiful house with my spouse and 9 cats.
If you are wondering how long the commute would be, here's a general idea: Greenville is located about 10 minutes south of Staunton, VA and the same just west of Stuart's Draft. I a few minutes east of Middleton and 20-25 west of Waynesboro. Harrisonburg is about a 30 minute drive north and Charlottesville is roughly 40-45 minutes east depending on the traffic. I do make house calls and charge extra but not a lot and it might be worth it to you.
