After speaking with several tree trimming services, I decided to give Capital City Tree Service my business. They offered a great price and were very professional in conversation. I called to be placed on the service schedule, but was never called back. I called 1.5 weeks later at noon and was told they could be out there by 3:00 pm that day. I left work to be home at 3. At 3:15 they called to say they couldn't make it. At 3:20 they called to say never mind, they'd be there. They arrived at 4:00 without a contract, or any idea what they would be doing or what I'd been quoted. They then began trying to get the bucket truck into the backyard. They were not able to back it in and got the truck stuck in the process. While trying to get the truck out, they tore up a 15' section of my neighbors grass with the tires because they pulled it through his yard. The main climber was fast and efficient, truly amazing to see how quickly he was able to get up and around the tree. The ground crew was not as lively and took it upon themselves to unfold and enjoy our lawn chairs. At 7:30 pm, one of the workers informed me that they were losing sunlight and would be back in the morning to finish. They did not come back the next morning. I called the manager at 2:00 pm the next day to ask if they would be coming back. He informed me that they had been sent to help finish another job that day (leaving my job half done and giant limbs in my yard), but that he would be sending the crew over shortly. They never arrived. They never called. The following morning, I was called by the manager to let me know the crew would be out that morning to finish. They did arrive this time, and finished the job. The end results look great, with one exception. I only asked them to cut the limbs up to my property line, since the trees were in my neighbors yard, but they took the limbs all the way back to the tree. I specifically mentioned this to the manager who quoted the job, and the main climber who did the cutting. Hopefully the owner of the trees won't make a big deal out of it. Pros: Great price. The trees look great and they did a wonderful job hauling every thing away. I have a big playground directly under one of the trees and they did a stellar job swinging all of the cut limbs out and away from the set. Cons: Poor communication with crew and with customer. Didn't show up on time, if at all. Drove the bucket truck in my neighbors yard, tearing up his grass in the process. Cut the limbs back past my property line after I'd asked them not to, twice. Overall: Happy with the price and the end result, but I would not use this company again unless they could guarantee an arrival date/time. Even if it was 3 months out, I'd rather know for sure they were coming instead of being left guessing. I'd rate my experience as "Fair" It would have been "Good" if there had been proper communication. It would have been "Very Good" with proper communication and if
