Dr. Lewis Bliss has been in private practice in the Sacramento area since 1986, treating thousands of patients for eye disease and performing thousands of ophthalmic surgeries. Dr. Bliss graduated Cum Laude from the University of Texas, Medical Branch and completed his internship at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation Hospitals in New Orleans. He then returned to the University of Texas, Medical Branch to complete his residency in ophthalmology. Dr. Bliss is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. His areas of expertise include state-of-the-art cataract surgery, laser vision correction surgery, as well as the medical and surgical management of glaucoma. Dr. Bliss specializes in multifocal lens implantation and astigmatism correction. He has studied surgical advances extensively throughout the world and strives to offer his patients the very finest technology available.
