Sharper Video & Audio Service is your one stop service center for all of your consumer electronic repair service needs. No task is too big or too small, whether its your big screen TV that needs to be fixed in your home, a DVD is stuck in your DVD player, youre a dealer or distributor in need of dealer stock repair, or if you want to buy a lamp for your DLP television Sharper Video can help.
With our extensive fleet and roster of experienced technicians, Sharper Video has a service area that is unmatched in the Pacific Northwest. We believe that our customers are requesting in-home service for a reason, therefore we have a no shop pulls policy. All efforts are made to leave your TV in your home over the entire repair process, with a success rate of doing so at over 97%. By calling Sharper, you can be confident that while others might pull it to their shop, we'll leave it in your home.
Carry In/Ship In
Smaller product that does not get fixed in your home can be repaired at our headquarters in Portland by one of our bench technicians. You can either bring the component in to us personally, or you can also ship the unit in for service (you will be responsible for return shipping costs). With many years of experience in the industry, our technicians are qualified to repair most any audio or video product that you may have.
Rates
In-Home Service
Sharper Video charges a $79.95 service call charge for in-home service that is not under warranty or covered by a service contract. This charge will get the technician to your house to evaluate, troubleshoot and diagnose your TV. Once the diagnosis is complete, the technician will then provide you with an estimated cost for repair. The service call charge will apply towards the repair cost.
Carry In Service
In order to evaluate your Audio/Video component for repair, Sharper Video charges a Prepaid Estimate fee on units brought to our shop for repair that is not under warranty or covered by a service contract. The Estimate Fee is a non-refundable charge that will get your component to a technician for evaluation, troubleshooting and diagnosis. Once a diagnosis is made the technician will call you with an estimate for repair. If the estimate is approved, the Prepaid Estimate Fee will apply towards your repair cost, however if you decline the estimate the Estimate Fee is non refundable. Our estimate fees are:
TV's 42' & under - $40
TV's over 42' - $50
Projectors - $75
Commercial Projectors - $100
All other product - $40

Sharper Video & Audio Service was opened in 1984 by Jeff Manning. Over the years, Sharper has adapted to technological advances and transformed itself from a neighborhood TV repair shop to the Northwest's premier consumer electronics service facility, serving most of Oregon and Washington. During this growth and transformation, Jeff was determined to keep things "close to home" by welcoming his wife, Linda, and his sons Paul, David and Nick to the company.
Sharper Video prides itself in being a "do all" service center by being able to adapt and change to the situation on hand. Being a family business, Sharper has been able to retain the "Mom & Pop's" feel to our local neighborhood customers. On the other hand, our vast experience in the industry along with our relationships with dealers, manufacturers and service contract companies enable us to excel on a regional level through our in-home service and dealer/depot repair departments. Whatever the service requirements and needs are, Sharper Video finds a way to fit the mold and provide solutions - whether it's a stereo brought in over the counter, a service call in Eugene or a truckload of failed TV's in Tacoma.
