About Carter Evans Wood Concepts

Carter Evans Wood Concepts has put together an inventory of one-of-a-kind wood that will fit the project needs of everyone from landscape artists and hobbyists, to professional builders and architectural firms.

Most of our wood is salvaged from the forest floor or was destined for the chip mill because it had little value to the logging industry. These unique pieces of rejected, twisted, partially rotten, thrown-away pieces--unusable as structural wood--are actually "diamonds in the rough." Nature has turned these misfits into beautiful pieces of art.

Our wood typically ranges in age from 250 years to 500 years old. Most of them will last longer than your house.

We leave most of our wood just as it came out of the forest. Some pieces have been lightly modified or sawn to enhance their natural appeal.
