About Arizona School of Traditional Karate

We provide weekly classes in Traditional Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate, Kobudo (traditional martial arts weapons), Self-Defense and Samurai Arts. Look for our class schedule and fee schedule at (http://www.seiyo-shorinryu.com).

When you sign up for classes (no contract, pay as you go), you will be taught karate basics, kata (forms) and bunkai (applications), and will be introduced to all of our other students. You will also be welcomed in our kobudo and samurai arts training.

We welcome all people interested in learning the traditional martial arts. Our classes are for adults and families. Family members include one or two adults and one or two children. Family members train side by side with their children. Children (12-15) must always train with a parent. Younger children are accepted with parent after it is determined the child is mature enough.

Former Professor of Martial Arts at the University of Wyoming and former instructor at Arizona State University, University of New Mexico and University of Utah, Grandmaster Hausel brings several decades of teaching experience to his classes and students.

Love this place - it has a wonderful Japanese decor, an unbelieveable variety of martial arts, and after looking for a martial arts school in the valley for weeks, this place is sooo much better than anything else we've seen
