New York City Windshield Repair is in its eighteenth year of saving people like you time and money. Founded by Keith Wagner in 1990, New York City Windshield Repair has literally cornered the market in high quality windshield repair in the NYC Metropolitan area. Our growing company has been recognized by our customers for our commitment to providing professional services at the highest quality workmanship. We are now serving all 5 boroughs in New York City: Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Bronx, and Staten Island

Did you know that an annoying little rock chip on your windshield could easily turn into a long crack that may require replacement of the entire windshield? It's true! If the windshield chip damage is not fixed right away temperature variations, road vibration and even normal driving conditions can go to work on that damage and eventually, it will create a crack that spreads across the full windshield.

Most rock chips and nicks can be filled in and repaired thus stopping the spreading process and saving your windshield!

Welcome to New York City Windshield Repair. The Big Apple’s premiere windshield repair company. At New York City Windshield repair, we save you money by preventing the need for costly windshield replacement. Windshield repair is safe, effective, convenient, and takes less than 30 minutes to complete. Our specialists can repair chips, surface nicks, combinations, bull’s-eyes, beeswings, flower breaks, pressure ring, and half moons. A quality windshield repair will restore the structural integrity of the windshield, help prevent the damage from spreading, and make the blemish much less noticeable, without the extremely costly expense of removing and replacing the glass.

New York City windshield repair believes that this process is convenient, because it does not affect the integrity of the original factory seal since the glass is never removed. With the rising price of modern automotive glass and the high rate of faulty installations, it's a great alternative!

In addition to the dollar savings, another fantastic benefit of repairing and not replacing all those windshields is the green effect. Windshield repair is good for the environment.

Why? Because windshields are not recyclable.

Every repaired windshield means less in our landfills, and fewer resources used. Now don't you think that’s good for all of us? We sure do.

When small stones or other debris "ding" the windshield surface, many motorists simply ignore the damage or put off repairing it until it's too late.

Once a ding or star expands, windshield replacement is often the only option. Up to 70% of all damaged windshields could have been repaired, if the repair was performed within several weeks of when the damage occurred.

Repairing allows your vehicle to maintain the factory seal of the original windshield. Keeping the original seal intact helps prevent air and water leaks, as well as ensuring proper deployment of passenger airbags in accidents and rollovers.

The Process
A windshield is made of two parts, glass and "PVB" (polyvinyl butyrate - basically a thin layer of vinyl) and has three layers (glass/ PVB / glass). The outside layer is the most effected on windshield chips. First we clean the damaged area and place our machine on your windshield. We then remove any moisture from the area with our machine on its vacuum cycle. Next we inject a clear high quality resin into the impact point on the break; this fills the void in-between the glass on the first layer and the pvb on the second layer, restoring most of the clarity in the glass. We then cure the area with a UV lamp. We then polish the repaired area. Cosmetically most repairs clear the area up to 80%.

The repair process will restore the structural integrity of the windshield as well as improve the clarity of the damaged area.

Types Of Breaks
The first type of windshield break is called a Star Break. A star break is a rock chip with multiple legs extending from the impact point. It looks like a small "x," or sometimes it can appear as just a little sliver. It doesn't really obscure your view, but over time, star breaks can grow into large cracks that will make the entire windshield to have to be replaced. When repaired properly the star break will not spread any farther.

The second type of rock chip is called a Bullseye Break. A bullseye break is a rock chip which looks like a circle. These are very easily repaired and can be fixed with no drilling or vacuum. These types of breaks usually always disappear and hardly ever spread once the repair is completed and cured.

The third type of windshield break is a Combination Break The combination break is a combination of a bullseye and a star break. These are very hard to repair because of the damage to the glass. Glass is usually chewed up and a large chunk of glass is usually missing. With our technique, we can make the appearance of these diminish but they hardly ever go 100% away.

The fourth type of stone chip is called a Half Moon Break. The half moon break is similar to the bullseye break except it does not make a complete circle. This break is also easily repaired. This break usually disappears and will stop from spreading any further.

* Stone chip repairs up to the size of a half dollar

$60

* Each additional stone chips on same vehicle

$10

All windshield repairs cost $60. Each additional stone chip repair on the same vehicle is $10 with a cut off point at $80. In other words, no matter how many stone chip breaks you have in your windshield your total cost will never rise above $80.

Surprised!?

Don't be. We have the best rates in New York City to go along with our high quality workmanship. For us, the two will always be inextricably woven together.
