The Pantry Restaurant

Over 26 years ago, Lil Adams was new at the Chamber and attempting to recruit more members to help the Chamber grow. Pantry Restaurant & Deli had just opened and when she approached owner Joe Moceri on membership, was told he was affiliated with the Warren Chamber, and had no desire to make a change. Honoring that decision, neither she nor any other Sterling Chamber salespeople called on Joe for all of those years. Now, a member because he chose to be, Joe Moceri and the entire family, Joe and wife Gerrie, daughters Leslie and Lisa, son Mike and Grandsons Mike Jr. and Anthony, are an important component of the Chamber’s growing family of what are widely recognized as, “pillars of the community.” Joe like many others runs a very successful, family owned and operated business that has an unwavering dedication to their chosen profession. The quality, service and concern for details you enjoy when dining there, confirm this. On May 15th, 2002, the Moceri family invited city officials, family friends, and Chamber members to stop by and celebrate the recent remodeling and birthday of the quarter century landmark. A huge supporter of the Sterling Heights Lions Club, the Pantry family custom cooks for all of their functions. That probably explains the clubs large membership numbers. The Moceris will also custom cater all types of events and celebrations for businesses or residents, with their unique and absolutely fresh menu offerings and outstanding house specialties. The Pantry Restaurant & Deli was founded by Joe and three friends of the family in 1978. The original partners later sold out to Joe and family. The owners and staff are proud of their long tradition of culinary excellence and personal involvement in every facet of the business, and that tradition inspires their loyal patrons. Their breakfast menu is particularly special, and on weekends, long lines wait for the opportunity to order their renowned fresh fruit crepes and “out-of-this-world” baked apple pancakes, that resemble small deep-dish pizzas. Pile some real whipped cream on these gourmet treats and you will experience perfection. The Pantry is located on Van Dyke between 14 and 15 mile and is only open for breakfast and lunch (the pancakes can be taken out for a super home treat as well.)
