Frequently Asked Questions about Guppro Window Tinting

Guppro Window Tinting is closed on Sunday and Saturday.
Guppro Window Tinting is open Mon-Fri 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.
We will not tint over existing films. Window film is made to stick to glass not to other surfaces. Installing film over previously installed film will void all warranties.
Keep in mind, once you have your windows tinted, watch your seat belts! When you take off your seat belt, if you aren’t careful, it can hit your window. This results in a chip in the tint each time this occurs. Be sure to carefully unbuckle once you have window tint installed. This is not covered under warranty.
Once windows are tinted, wait a week before cleaning them. Cleaning them too soon can mess up the tint before it fully cures. After they are tinted, your windows will have been wiped down but will likely need proper cleaning with a soft paper towel and ammonia-free cleaner after 7 days. Not recommended to use “Windex with Ammonia-D” or blue-colored cleaners. We suggest Sprayway glass cleaner. Another option is soap and water, vinegar and water, or anything without ammonia or abrasive cleaners.
Cure time refers to the drying time of the leftover application solution after an installation. While we try to get all of the solutions off after every application, it is nearly impossible. Therefore, the cure time depends on the film type and drying time of the remaining solution. While this is happening, it is still performing to its full capabilities, but you might see bubbles, haze, streaks, or other visual defects while drying. Don’t be alarmed! This is completely normal while the remaining solution evaporates. Additionally, the cure time can vary given different circumstances. If it’s a hot summer day, the film might be cured in a few days. On the other hand, if it’s a chilly winter day the curing process might last a few weeks. During the cure time, it’s normal to see bubbles, streaks, and other visual defects.
If windows are rolled down too soon after the installation, the tint can peel off. If this happens, we can redo windows at a low cost. To avoid this, we recommend keeping your windows up for at least 4 days.
Yes. Because of the modern adhesive systems on today’s window tinting products, you can have your windows tinted even if it’s freezing outside. However, in adverse conditions, the curing time might take longer.
We prefer that you drop off your vehicle for the day and we will call when the vehicle is ready to be picked up. Please ensure you have someone to pick you up upon drop off.
Installation time typically ranges from 3 to 8 hours, depending on the type of vehicle and the number of windows being tinted. Partial jobs can take 1 to 4 hours.
We apply tint on the inside. The film is put on the outside to trace out the window shape then cut on a “peel board” to that shape. After cleaning the interior of the window then film will be installed on the inside.
First, your windows are thoroughly cleaned to ensure that all dirt & debris is removed. Second, the film is machine-cut to the size of your window to ensure proper fit. We spray our slip on the inside of the windows then remove the liner to then place the film carefully on the glass. Using a squeegee, the Slip solution is removed from between the glass and the film. Lastly, we will trim the edges of your film to ensure the perfect fit.
