Job Description

Full-time Hospice / AIM Registered Nurse (RN)

EGAN Home Health & Hospice – Greater New Orleans area

The Hospice / AIM Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for implementing the AIM program by meeting families in their homes. They are responsible for assisting families with end of life planning by assessing the patient's acuity status. This person is responsible for teaching the principals of the AIM program to the family creating an awareness of all long term health care options for the patient, while under the direction of the Hospice DON. The Hospice / Aim Registered (RN) will possess a deep knowledge of Hospice best practices and Advanced Illness Management.

Qualifications:

• 
  · Current Registered Nurse in the state of Louisiana


• · +1 years of recent Hospice experience/Palliative




Care experience



• · Advanced Illness Management experience preferred


• · Available to work 8:30-5:00 Monday - Friday


• · Ability to participate in Hospice on call


• · Highly ethical


• · Able to participate in rotating on call within a 50 mile radius
