Mexico and several countries in the Caribbean are opening to receive tourists

1/5/2021 2:11:00 PM by CRUISE PLANNERS - LINDA KOLANKO

Travel is not impossible for those who seek it!

If you are wishing to escape the confines of home, and willing to assume the possible risks of contracting the Covid-19 virus while traveling, there are options available to you.

Mexico is one country with the most lenient entry requirements for American tourists wishing to travel within its borders by air.  No Covid tests are required prior to entry, and no quarantine requirements are established at the time of this publication.   A Health Declaration Card Form and Tourist Card, along with a valid passport not scheduled to expire within 6 months on entry are required.  The cards can be completed online prior to your flights departure and printed so that they can be brought with you.  Airlines may have these forms on board your flight, but to save time, completing these forms and printing them could be most convenient and you will have fewer hassles.

The Dominican Republic does not require pre-entry Covid tests at this time.  Airports and other ports of entry will perform a quick, aleatory breath test to up to 10% of the passengers and those who display symptoms at time of arrival*.   Covid tests may be required during the duration of your vacation stay in the Dominican Republic.  Valid passports are required.

Aruba requires that all passengers 15 years of age or older go through and complete an online process for obtaining an Embarkation/Debarkation card.   Results from a negative PCR Covid-19 Test obtained 72 hours prior to entering the country is required.   Documented proof is required.  Bring test results with you.  Should you be showing symptoms you may be turned away even with negative test results.  Valid passports are required.

St. Lucia requires that all arriving passengers, 5 years of age or older, have a negative result from a Covid-19 PCR test taken no more than 7 days prior to the anticipated date of arrival and all arriving passengers, 18 years of age or older, must complete a Travel Authorization Form.  A valid passport is required, as well as proof of negative results from the Covid test.

Jamaica requires that all passengers complete online a Travel Authorization/Visa.  A negative Covid-19 test is required to be conducted within  10 days of arrival.  Documented proof will be required.  Valid passports are also required.

Covid-19 entry requirements are always changing.  Other countries and resorts within or on the various islands are opening with each and every day.  There are outstanding deals to be had.  Please contact us at Cruise Planners to provide you with the vacation you deserve that offers you the most value at the best prices.
