Bodywise Physical Therapy was established by Megan Moseley PT, L.M.T in 1995. Originally located in the Downtown Athletic Club, Bodywise moved to 313 East 8th Avenue in 2003 and our newest location at 917 SW Oak Street Suite 412 in Portland, February 2014. Our specialties include general orthopedics, spine rehabilitation, and sports medicine. We understand the biomechanical relationships between each and every joint of the body, and we are skilled at treating everything from the bottom of your foot to the top of your head. The Bodywise approach is holistic, individualized, and can benefit people of all fitness levels. Our philosophy incorporates education, manual therapy, Pilates, home/gym exercise programs, and self care skills. We believe education is key to rehabilitation and joint health; after all, our bodies are our vehicles for life, and we need to understand how they work to get the most out of them. At Bodywise, we are meticulous. We believe in treating the body as a machine, working to insure that all the parts work well individually and as a whole. We enjoy working creatively with clients of all ages to keep them engaged in learning about their bodies, and empower them to take better care of themselves throughout their lifetime. Bodywise therapists are all skilled at treating acute and chronic conditions, as well as post-surgical rehabilitation. When appropriate, your therapist will travel to your gym to develop a customized program, and instruct you in proper techniques. Therapists are also available to travel to your office for ergonomic evaluations, and making recommendations that can improve your work environment thereby changing one of the most common contributing factors to your symptoms. At Bodywise, we believe that rehabilitation is a team effort. You and your therapist make up that team. This is why we employ only Physical Therapists: not aides, or assistants. Each visit is 45-60 minutes one-on-one with your therapist. Megan, Kana, and Errin have 30 years of combined experience. We have an office manager and assistant who will give you personalized attention from the first moment you call. Jenn and Theresa not only manage the schedule, they help you research and understand your benefits, facilitate authorizations and referrals, and return every call everyday, not to mention they are a friendly familiar faces you will come to love!
