Here’s how a normal credit card transaction works. You, the credit card holder, use the card to an established merchant with a credit card swiping system. The swiping system records the transaction and sends that information to the acquirer or the financial institution that processes transactions of the swiping machine. The acquirer then sends that transaction to the issuer or the financial institution that issued your card. This transaction functions like clockwork every time you use your credit card. By the time you go home and check your credit card balance after using it, the amount you used has already been deducted and is in the process of being approved.
