Lindenwood Learning is a comprehensive tutoring agency. Rather than focusing simply on homework help, our instructors work one-on-one with students to provide remedial instruction in the core subjects of reading, math and writing. Because we provide personalized instruction rather than computer-based learning, our educators are able to quickly and precisely identify areas of concern and work with your child to address them. Lindenwood Learning offers a prescriptive program, and not simply standardized activities.

Students who experience difficulties in school face the very real possibility of being under-educated, underemployed and under-prepared for the challenges of life. For children who are struggling academically, it's important to find specialized tutoring sooner rather than later, in order to give them the opportunity to attain the same level of success as their peers.

Products Carried: Building on our commitment to multi-sensory learning, we use the proven curriculum, S.P.I.R.E. reading intervention program, the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum, and TouchMath. We offer courses in Study Skills and S.A.T. Test Prep. It is proven that students who take an S.A.T. Test Prep course have a more positive test-taking experience and it results in higher test scores. Amenities: We offer $20.00 Educational Assessments to diagnose your child's needs and we will prescribe a plan to achieve long term success. We offer Free Educational Counseling which allows us to work with parents, teachers, administrators, doctors, etc. to establish the best plan for ongoing success for the student. Our staff is proud to help students overcome challenges in education and develop skills that will help them throughout their lives.

Professional Affiliations: Owner, Penny Lindblom is a member of the International Dyslexia Society, Orton-Gillingham Educators & CHADD (Children & Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder). She has a BS degree from Wingate College and a Masters of Education degree in Spec. Ed. from the UNC-Chlt, with a focus on language-based learning disabilities. She also is a member of the Union County Kiwanis Club and the UC Chamber of Commerce.
