Point of Hope is an adult day program that specializes in intellectual and developmental disabilities. Point of Hope also provides a separate brain injury program for people with traumatic brain injury (TBI), anoxia/hypoxia, aneurism, strokes, or chemical/disease damage. Point of Hope's Smyrna location is able to provide day services for individuals who are medically fragile.

Since 2006, Point of Hope has been family owned and operated. We serve more than 70 individuals in both our New Castle and Smyrna locations.

History
Established in 2006
Barbara Robinson served as a caseworker and long term care program investigator for more than 20 years; and with the support of her husband Melvin and her son Damian (and later, her daughter, Tiffany), she worked to establish Point of Hope. Because of Barbara's extensive work in the disabilities field, the family went into this project wielding substantial firsthand experience coupled with high standards.

The mission of Point of Hope is to support individuals with intellectual disabilities, brain injuries, and neurological impairments in achieving their dreams and personal goals with dignity, compassion, and distinction.
