Frequently Asked Questions about Inksomnia Tattoo and Body Piercing
How do I schedule a tattoo appointment?
1. Decide what kind of design you want and where you want it. Gather reference photos to help your artist understand your vision. 2. Take a look at our artists’ work on Instagram, our website, or in their portfolios at the shop. Decide which artist you’d like to work with based on their specific style and expertise. 3. Come to the shop to show our professional staff what you have in mind for your tattoo. Once you’re here, we can help you decide whether to schedule a preliminary consultation or go ahead and book the actual tattoo appointment. ***if you know your tattoo will require a consultation, you may call the shop to schedule a consultation. WE DO NOT SCHEDULE ACTUAL TATTOO APPOINTMENTS BY PHONE.*** 4. Our staff will schedule your consultation or take a deposit and schedule your tattoo appointment. If scheduling a consultation, see step 5. If scheduling an appointment, see step 6. 5. Come to your consultation and discuss your ideas, quotes, and time availability with your artists. During your consultation, you will be required to put down a deposit, after which, we can schedule your tattoo appointment. 6. Show up to your appointment with your ID, and your deposit slip if you were given one. Make sure you have eaten, are hydrated, and well rested. 7. Follow the aftercare instructions given by your artist. 8. Repeat
Can I schedule a tattoo appointment over the phone or by email?
Due to the custom and unique nature of tattoos, and the high chance of miscommunications, we do not schedule appointments or provide quotes through email or phone. If you’d like to work with a specific artist on a piece, you may call the shop to schedule a preliminary consultation, which is a 30-minute meeting with your artist to discuss design, quote, and availability.
Do you take walk-ins for tattoos?
The short answer is, sometimes. We do tend to stay booked with scheduled appointments; however, life does happen. Sometimes appointments don’t show up, sometimes they will cancel or reschedule, etc etc. In the scenario that an artist has availability for walk-ins, we will take them on a first come, first serve basis. Please do not call to ask if there is walk-in availability, we have no way of predicting when people will cancel, or who will walk through the door first.
How do I clean my Piercings?
The only thing I recommend cleaning your piercings with is a sterile saline solution. spray it directly on the piercing and pay dry with a clean paper towel. Make sure it is dry to avoid any moisture issues.
How much does an ear curation cost?
The cost of an ear curation is completely dependent on what you want to do! Ear piercings range in price and have different jewelry options.
How is the piercing procedure done?
all professional piercings are pierced by hand with a hollow needle and quickly removed to install the jewelry.
