I remember watching a video of Brian Kraft, the COO of Film Connection when I was looking into which film school to attend. He said that with Film Connection you get placed in front of a professional filmmaker who serves as your mentor. Your “job” is to impress him and prove yourself to him. Today, I got hired as a P.A. on a feature film because my mentor put his reputation on the line to recommend me. This wouldn’t have happened without the Film Connection and me paying attention to Brian’s message.
