Our Caregivers are Angels:

Our caregivers, or “angels” as we prefer to call them, are compassionate, capable, reliable individuals that we would trust to take care of our own family members. Each is hand-picked and trained for your specific situation in order to insure the best possible home care experience. Unlike some other agencies, that use subcontractors, our angels are employees who are trained, bonded and covered by workers’ compensation. We do this to ensure that our clients are fully protected.

Whether serving as the primary caregiver, or supplementing the home care provided by family and friends, our angels are ready to help. Our services can be provided in your home, retirement community, nursing home, hospital, or rehabilitation center.

Flexible Scheduling:

Visiting Angels’ scheduling is flexible. We understand that needs change from week to week based on the level of care needed. From ongoing long term care to a few days of service for surgery recovery – we are there for you. Think about the different ways we can assist:

•24 hour care, round the clock assistance for those care recipients up through the night and family needs assistance during the day.

•Morning assistance (i.e. 8:30a – 1:30p) where we can assist with the most difficulty time of the day helping a loved one get out of bed, bathed, dressed, breakfast, an errand, lunch, tidying up before we leave.

•All day assistance – while a family member is at work. You can be assured that we are there with your loved one and you can concentrate on your job knowing that your loved one is in good hands. We can even call you and let you know how it is going!

•Maybe you are the primary caregiver and you simply need to go away for a week or so? We can be there for your respite care needs. Your loved one will feel comfortable in familiar surroundings and we can maintain their comfortable routine.

•We even provide “live-in” service where a caregiver can stay for one or more 24 hour periods so that someone is physically in the home available to them if they need assistance. (This service is available to those care recipients that are sleeping fairly well at night.)


How to Get Started:

The best way to provide the highest quality level of care requires an initial meeting where family and/or care recipient meet with a Visiting Angels care coordinator. This meeting includes a detailed review of care needed, schedule request (if known), specific requests of family or care recipient, and any other concerns. This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions of Visiting Angels and it is an excellent opportunity for us to get to know you as well. If you are feeling overwhelmed, we can make recommendations as we have much experience in understanding what works in certain situations.

Usually the following is discussed at this meeting.

•Specific physical needs of the care recipient with regards to bathing and grooming, dressing, meals and diet, mobility, incontinence, schedules involving sleep, eating, medicine.

•Specific emotional needs such as social interaction, activities, conversation, appointments, and companionship.

•Specific assistance with homemaking such as preparation of meals, groceries, linens, laundry and light housekeeping.

•Logistics of schedules, access to the home, documentation, and the details of how to work with scheduling changes, the office, or the caregivers.

•If you would like to proceed with care at that time, we would establish a schedule, finalize the care plan, and coordinate a meeting with caregiver(s).

•There is no charge for this visit.
