Crimson Sailing Academy

The CRIMSON SAILING ACADEMY is a summer camp for youth, ages 10-16. Our goal is to teach kids how to sail in a safe, fun environment. Campers will learn in Harvard's fleet of Collegiate FJs and 420s. They will be taught by the Harvard Assistant Sailing Coach and members of the Harvard sailing team.

Campers will learn to sail out of the Harvard Sailing Center in the Lower Basin of the Charles River between Massachusetts Ave. and Longfellow Bridges. The moderate summer breezes in July and August provide excellent learning conditions. The Collegiate FJs and 420s are great training boats, yet lively enough to challenge the best college sailors. All this is only a 7-minute walk from the Kendall T Station on the Red Line.
