1. Henry-Doorly Zoo

The Henry-Doorly Zoo is also called the Omaha Zoo. It is the top attraction in the city and the most visited attraction in the state of Nebraska. This zoo is well-known for its tigers and numerous other big cats such as leopards. There is also a great bear exhibit. The aquarium and penguin exhibit are also popular with visitors.

2. Joslyn Art Museum

This museum has an interesting collection of art that ranges from the art of the Middle Ages through Impressionism with many examples of modern and contemporary art as well. The Chihuly glass is quite stunning.

3. College World Series

Omaha has been the site of the College World Series for many years. This tournament is held yearly at the TD Ameritrade Stadium.

4. Old Market

This is a preserved area of old Omaha that still has cobblestone streets. There are many shopping and dining opportunities in this part of the city.

5. Durham Museum

The Durham Museum is located in the old Union Station building that is an excellent representative of Art Deco architecture. The museum includes much information about the history of Omaha and the Midwest.

6. Boy's Town

Boys' Town was featured in a film by the famous actor Spencer Tracy. Tours of this site are available, and there are two beautiful churches on campus. There is also a museum to visit here.

7. Joslyn Castle

This majestic structure was the home of one of the city's leading businessmen and philanthropists. It is open for tours and on special occasions.

8. Gerald R. Ford Birthplace and Garden

President Ford is usually associated with Michigan, but he was born in Omaha. There is a memorial where his home once stood, and the garden is well-kept and beautiful.

9. Bemis Center for Contemporary Art

This gallery presents special exhibitions throughout the year. It strives to showcase the best contemporary artists from the area.

10. Omaha Children's Museum

This museum is geared toward letting children learn by doing. There are many different types of interactive exhibits here that teach children about the world.
