8. Old North Church


The Old North Church is a frequently visited historical site in Boston. Paul Revere worked as a bell ringer at the church. In 1875, the original lanterns of Paul Revere were lit in the steeple to warn the country that the British were coming. Soldiers, who fought during the Battle of Bunker Hill, are buried in a crypt below the floors of the church.

9. USS Constitution


The USS Constitution, also known as "Old Ironsides," was launched in 1797 and fought against British warships in numerous battles during the War of 1812. The ship was taken out of commission in 1855. The USS Constitution still remains afloat and is an active ship of the U.S. Navy. Guided tours are available.

10. Old State House


The Old State House, built in 1713, housed the colonial and state governments. Famous debates by John Adams, John Hancock, and Samuel Adams were held here. Significant events occurred in and around the Old State House, including the Boston Massacre in 1770 and a proclamation of the Declaration of Independence read to Boston citizens in 1776. Visitors can enjoy tours and exhibits at the Old State House.
