I have always liked knowing where my food comes from. The problem is with a family and a full time job is, it's too easy to just buy from the grocery store and eat what is easy, not necessarily healthy. Covid taught us a very important lesson about supply chain and shortages. It brought me back to my farming roots. I may no longer milk cows like I was raised doing, but I found a way to feed my family healthier than ever and care for animals I love. I know where they came from and what was put into them. These chickens are well cared for in the most natural conditions I can provide. Pastured chicken doesn't require the medications most large poultry operations feed standard. Even though I don't feed organic feed, I do not feed any medicated feed to my chickens. I know the land they are raised on hasn't seen chemicals for 12 years.
