Dr. William H. Gorman is an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon and founding member of Austin Plastic Surgery Institute. His main priority as a doctor and confidant is the safety and comfort of his patients; he holds himself to the highest standards of ethical conduct and patient care by treating each and every patient as though he or she is a family member. Throughout his thirty-year career in plastic surgery, Dr. Gorman has performed thousands of procedures. For the last 20 years, Dr. Gorman has been a clinical researcher for new devices in the field of plastic surgery. He is currently involved in a national study investigating new cohesive silicone gel breast implants, and he will be tracking the progress of 250 of his Austin patients with these new implants over a 10-year period. As a breast augmentation specialist, Dr. Gorman ensures he is ahead of the curve on the latest techniques and technologies to achieve optimal results for his patients.

Dr. Gorman is one of the founding members and a former board member of the non-profit organization Austin Smiles and puts his plastic surgery experience to use for this great cause. He regularly goes on mission trips and has corrected cleft lip and other birth abnormalities for hundreds of children in third world countries. In addition, Dr. Gorman devotes his time to countless other prestigious organizations.
Dr. Gorman has been board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) since November of 1985, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the distinguished American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). Dr. Gorman is a former President of both the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Austin Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a member of the Medical Advisory Board of Austin’s Breast Cancer Resource Center as well as a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Travis County Medical Society.
