Founded in 1990 by KC native Carolyn Alter, Alter's Violin Shop has always placed the best interests of her customers first. Honesty and integrity guide every business decision and interaction.Alter's Violin Shop has 3 primary areas of focus (listed here in no particular order):1. Maintaining an inventory of quality and affordable violins, bows, cases, and accessories.2. Instrument and bow repair and maintenance 3. Private violin lessons and an adult ensembleShop hours are 10-6 M-F and 10-2 Saturday...but an appointment (calling ahead) is very much appreciated and recommended! This ensures ample and focused time for you, and enables me to make sure my hands are free.
