I was an out of state customer. Dr. Ball performed a Root Canal in 2019. Nothing was said to me about how important it was to attend the follow-up appointment to see how the tooth was healing. A follow up-appointment should have been done within one month after the root canal was performed - not one year when I received such a blase form letter and especially NOT 2 YEARS after the root canal surgery. Earlier in 2021, some issues developed with the tooth worked on by Dr. Ball almost two years to the day two years she performed the root canal. Dr. Ball's office accomodated me for the follow up appointment.
During the appointment, Dr. Ball acted angry, short, and snippy. DR. BALL INSISTED THE TOOTH MUST BE PULLED. Dr. Ball refused to answer questions or offer any guidance, and left the room in a huff. Dr. Ball's notes about the visit were unbelievably hateful and false in which she atracked my character. Dr. Ball paraphrased things I said during our appointment and wrote deliberate sneers and lies - accusing me of poor dental hygiene and neglect. She included these comments and lies in her letter to the referring dentist in my state, with her final recommendation the tooth must be pulled. Dr. Ball used a familiar tone that was hateful throughout the letter, as though Dr. Ball knows me personally which is certainly not the case. Furthermore, I am not a person who has been irresponsible at all with my dental care the way Dr. Ball depicted me in her written assessment and letter. I am a responsible person who went to the dentist twice a year, and object to Dr. Ball's arroganace and hostility. I am almost 60 years old, and had orthodontia in my early 40s and there are dental professionals in my family. Furthermore, no one I have ever known has ever had to have a tooth pulled due to neglect. Just when I thought all was lost, I found a dentist who told me what to do to save my tooth (which is what Dr. Ball should have included in her list of written instructions she did not send home with me after the root canal in 2019. FORTUNATELY, Dr. Ball was not able to have her way to intentionally hurt me. Dr. Ball tried to time things so that the two year Statute of Limitations would run out to file a complaint against Dr. Ball for malpractice and patient abuse with the Oklahoma Dental Board. A letter to the Better Business Bureau and various online review sites are good enough to make sure the Oklahoma public knows that Dr. Ball likes to act like a serial killer with her patients every now and then.
