Kiddie Academy of Longwood-Lake Mary

Kiddie Academy teachers use technology as learning tools and a means of communication. We feel it’s important to teach children how to use devices they will encounter in school, so they are given opportunities to use them for educational play and research. The use of televisions or computers for passive viewing is not part of Kiddie Academy’s curriculum.

Our Health Essentials guidelines focus on four principles to cover various preventative, protective and corrective measures to ensure the health of children in our care: Wellness education – We provide additional training for staff and uphold high expectations for our own hygienic practices and behavior outside of our Academy. Enhanced hygiene – We increased our handwashing frequency in all classrooms. Healthy environment – We increased our facility cleanliness with more frequent cleanings and laundering and limit items brought into the Academy. Symptom monitoring – We monitor temperatures of children and staff prior to entering the Academy each day. We track symptoms of children throughout the day and isolate children away from others until they can be picked up.
