Craftsmanship with paint goes well beyond an even coat of white for an interior or exterior on a home. In this case it's the balance between seeing an opportunity to change something and preserving what makes a piece of furniture beautiful in and of itself.
In his free time, owner Chris Blaul dives deeper into his craft of beautifying homes around Santa Barbara by finding household decor that isn't in the best shape and then refurbishing it. These antique T.V. tables were on their way to the trash until CB offered to bring them back to life.
Here are a few tips on how you can do the same!
What you'll need
1) A dry towel or hand rag
2) Sand paper
3) Paint brush
4) Gel stain - find a color that best matches the surface
5) Clear sealer
Step by Step
Clean the surface with your hand towel and allow to dry before sanding.
Sand down the rough areas to make an even surface.
Carefully apply the gel to the areas that need touch-ups and let it dry for a 5-10 hours.
Apply a coat of clear sealer to increase the lifespan of your project.
And that's it!
