Android Lollipop

The new Android Update brought about quite a few different changes to the way that the Android operating system works as a whole, but most users will still be able to use their phones without having to completely relearn a whole new way of going mobile. The Android Lollipop update made the entire operating system much cleaner, and allowed the system to run at a much faster speed without crashing, although the new update is still a little bit buggy. Lollipop strives to make everything as easy and streamlined as it can possibly be. In order to do this, many of the new functions that have been introduced are tap and go functions that allow you to set up your phone in just a few seconds, instead of having to wait around for it to boot up like most other phones do. In addition, Lollipop offers a handy flashlight widget that can be accessed by swiping down from the top of the screen. This makes it much easier to use your phone as a light, and although there were already applications that would allow you to do this, the creators of the new Android OS felt that it was time to integrate it into the system. The new update also makes it possible for you to deal with notifications that pop up from the lock screen. This makes it much easier to see what is most important when you pull out your phone, and it allows you to skip the process of trying to find the messaging application or anything else that you were looking for, as you can simply click the little icon on the home screen. Android has also begun allowing you to pin apps to the lock screen, as well as the home screen of the phone, so that you can pin your favorite apps to your home screen. Everyone has their favorite applications, and without a way to organize them, it becomes very difficult to keep track of all of the different apps. Android improved this by allowing you to pin the app to any location that you want it to be in, simply for your convenience! Overall, this new update has brought quite a few changes to the system, but nothing has been taken away.
