Reports to: VP, Concrete Division
Supervises: Superintendents, Foreman, Field Personnel
Purpose of the position: To continually evaluate project progress ensuring that Safety, Quality, and Schedules are maintained in accordance with company policy and standards. Schedule each job to be completed in a safe, timely, and productive manner as possible to ensure the complete satisfaction of our customers and the goals of the company.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Significant experience is required, no less than 7 years combined experience as a Project Superintendent and/or Project Manager on projects within the Tilt-up and Concrete industry. Superior organizational, supervisory and communication skills. A self-starter that is detail oriented with the ability to complete multiple tasks with consistency and accuracy. Exceptional follow-up skills are required and the candidate should possess the ability to adapt to change. Communication skills include verbal as well as written. Daily use of phone, fax and e-mail is required. Must posses the skills to review shop drawings, specifications, and plans. PC skills include the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, the internet and familiarity with menu driven software is helpful. The capabilities to think ahead, identify and resolve potential problems is a must along with the ability to learn quickly. Must provide or be able to obtain OSHA 30 hour certification and CPR certification
Goals: The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that the overall safety, quality, and productivity of projects remain consistent with company policy and standards and is responsible for scheduling the work of Superintendents and field personal.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
a. Perform audits to ensure that Superintendents are adhering to company
b. Ensure that Superintendents hold weekly safety coordination meetings.
c. Direct and assist Superintendents in the investigation of incidents (vehicle
accidents, personal injury, and general liabilities.
d. Administer corrective action on safety violations.
e. Ensure that proper safety equipment is available for Job Superintendents.
f. Ensure the Superintendents turn in Tool Box Talks weekly to Project
a. Ensure that a safe and reliable facility that meets or exceeds customer
expectations is built the first time, every time.
b. Spot-check Superintendents layouts, overall project dimensions, panel
dimensions and any other critical dimensions in the field, which would
