C.W. Worth House Bed And Breakfast

C.W. Worth House Bed and Breakfast is the longest continuously operating bed and breakfast in Wilmington, since 1985. We offer 7 guest rooms with private baths and comfortable beds. Our sumptuous breakfast is served in the dining room at 9 am on weekends and everyone enjoys chatting about their adventures. Breakfast is two courses and will be fruit, juice, muffins and coffee or tea. Then we serve a main entree which could be sweet or savory such as artichoke mushroom quiche or banana upside down pecan pancake. Breakfast is always fresh and homemade by your hosts.

We are your current hosts, Margi & Doug, and we have been offering excellent hospitality since 1999 at C.W. Worth House. We are attuned to the needs of guests and our goal is to exceed guest expectations. We make sure guests are comfortable with their surroundings and have plans for their time here even it is just to "chill out". We offer suggestions of things to do and see, tours, a calendar of events in the area and our favorite restaurants, cocktail bars and craft breweries and night spots.

We live on site in our beautiful Circa 1893 Victorian mansion. We are located in the historic district within walking distance to the Cape Fear River.

Our repeat guests who come back year after year are our best compliment! We reward our long-time repeat guests with a gift certificate for a complimentary night after 10 visits to our B&B.

Products Carried: We have 7 spacious guest rooms with private baths, one with a whirlpool. Five of our guestrooms have king beds and two have queen beds. Five of our guestrooms have TVs. All our guestrooms have a comfortable sitting area, a desk, ceiling fan, full length mirror, robes, hair dryer, makeup mirror, an iron and ironing board. Brands Carried: We sell our locally roasted Organic Guatemalan Coffee by the pound, our hand made coffee mugs with our logo, comfortable waffle weave robes with our logo, greeting cards with a pen and ink of the B&B and postcards with a beautiful picture of our B&B. Atmosphere: The C.W. Worth House is a restored Circa 1893 beautiful Victorian Mansion. Guests enjoy the casual atmosphere provided by hosts, Margi and Doug, who welcome you warmly and share their favorite things to do and see as well as great restaurants. We cater to romantic getaways and celebrations for anniversaries and birthdays and small weddings and elopements.

Amenities: A full breakfast is included each day with your reservation. We offer snacks and refreshments available all the time. We provide refreshments in the afternoon. There are 3 common living rooms, 2 with TVs, two outdoor porches and a large back yard with 2 ponds, patio and a hammock to relax. Owners live on site. We are located 3 blocks to the riverfront.

Cuisine: Early coffee service is available from 7:30 in the kitchen. We serve a two course breakfast each morning at 8:30 during the week and 9 am on weekends. We begin with fresh fruit, juice, homemade muffins and coffee or tea. Then the main course may consist of a artichoke mushroom quiche, a stuffed French toast, or an eggs Florentine casserole with bacon or sausage on the side.
