KMC California is dedicated to serving the vibrant and diverse metropolitan city of Los Angeles and surrounding communities. Many classes, day courses and retreats are scheduled throughout the year, giving people from all walks of life the opportunity to experience the many benefits of Buddhist Meditation.

Everyone is welcome to this peaceful oasis in the heart of the city. Visitors from all backgrounds come to find refuge from the difficulties of busy modern life, and draw inspiration from spiritual friends, including western Buddhist monks and nuns. In addition to a full spiritual schedule at the Center, classes structured for the general public are being offered in over 20 areas throughout greater LA.

Products Carried: Our bookshop is fully stocked with Buddha statues,offering bowls, prayer beads and other items for meditation. There are also lovely gift items such as aromatic candles, soaps and journals. We carry a complete selection of Kadampa Buddhist books and audio recordings by Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, CDs of sung prayers, art prints and cards ready for framing. The Shop is open 10 am-5 pm weekdays and during courses and special events at weekends. All profits are donated to the International Temple
