Kelly Benbow: Allstate Insurance

In 2013, I chose to become an Allstate representative in Kansas City because of my passion for helping others. Prior to becoming to working in insurance, I was a middle school science teacher. In that career, I learned techniques to successfully inform and educate individuals. I’m happy I’ve been able to combine my two professions, as a teacher and an Allstate representative, to help customers to learn about Allstate products and services. Being involved and giving back to the Kansas City community is important to me. I’m proud to be involved with HELP Humane Society, Kansas City Young Life and the Southtown Council. I have also supported Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City for the past four years. I’ve been lucky enough to volunteer on a regular basis with my team, as well as other local Allstate representatives, to raise money for the organization. Because of our service we were able to raise over $100,000 that went toward updating the clubs’ facilities. I look forward to continuing our support of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City and working with other local nonprofits. I’ve lived in the Kansas City community since 1990 and have always appreciated how much it has offer. The residents are friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Along with my husband and our four girls, I enjoy attending Kansas City Royals games, Chiefs games and playing with our two dogs, Rizzo and Whiskey Blu. We also have two Quarter Horses that keep us busy. I love working in Waldo and then going home to the country at night to enjoy the peace and quiet. Additionally, I enjoy going to the gym, running in the woods with my dogs, horseback riding, biking and competing in local races. Helping people means everything to me. That includes my staff, as well as the customers. We help people through the best and worst times of their lives. I strive to keep my staff and customers in Good Hands.
