The company NY Movers - New York Movers was great. My move was a small move. These guys quoted me a price which was half of all the others. The representative told me about all the costs involved and my price was actually LOWER than what was quoted!! I was surprised so I tipped well. These guys were quick, efficient, early for the move and good guys. The only thing I can critique them on is that they were a bit rougher with 1 item than I would have liked. My favorite part was how they wrapped my furniture. My dining hutch, fragile wood armoire and my white couch was wrapped in blankets and super sized plastic wrap along with some other valuable items. I have never seen that done before.They unloaded everything where I told them to, unwrapped the furniture and cleaned up the plastic and paper and left. That was so stress free, I was so pleased. I paid for the materials and the packing service separately, Of which they gave me a price quote for, also well before hand. That gave me time to check out places like Public Storage/ Post Office / Lowes and other packing places and they were indeed very affordable on the materials. I was told the price upfront and I had no changes or surprises upon delivery. (No extra cost for the plastic and blanket wrapping- that was standard and included in their move rates and the price quote).

This was a medium sized move that involved one pick-up in Midtown Manhattan and three drop-offs in different locations in New York City and Queens.

I was very impressed with the speed of the service and the care taken by the team to ensure items were not damaged and were delivered to correct locations. The job required carrying a large and heavy dresser up a narrow stairwell - the guys made it look easy! The price $490 was less than estimated. Well organized, pleasant, and efficient staff. A friend suggested I use NY Movers - New York Movers and I am happy I did!

Based on these reviews I gave it a try, and now I can tell you that these reviews are all real!! and you should not look anywhere else when you are hiring a moving company. They are polite, professional, and extremely pleasant to dealt with. The company and the moving staff accommodate my specific delivery time, Nathan said he will be here at 10:30 am and he arrived 10:30 am sharp. They put new pads to walk on in my apartment since the carpet is new. They went above and beyond, even hook up the washer and dryer for us.

Moving with this company, from the people in the office to the moving crews, I have had I would said a "perfect moving experience" and really am not exaggerated.

Best of all, after they picked up the stuff and weighted, my stuff weighted lighter than the quote, and they gave me money back!!!!

These movers really saved me when the original company I hired did not show up. I called NY Movers - New York Movers at 9am April 24th 2012, they took all of my information, gave me a quote and had a truck with 3 movers at my building by 1pm. They were fast, efficient, careful and friendly. They packed loaded and delivered my things from Fort Lee NJ to NYC in 4 hours, AMAZING! The best part was that the quote was what I paid at delivery, no inflation like all of the other times I have moved, great service!

I would recommend NY Movers - New York Movers to anyone that is moving. Their customer service was outstanding and their staff were professional, friendly and fast! I have moved almost every two years for the last decade and have always had one disaster or another. I gave this moving service provider a try because they were eco-friendly (which pleased my wife) and their customer service representative was so much more informative about the details about the rates and the price quote and our insurance information. Their price is more reasonable than the other moving companies in the area can offer. So, I scheduled my move without any doubts.

On my moving day, I was nervous because the movers called and said they were running a few minutes late but they showed up only 15 minutes late. Their staff was very friendly and English-speaking and the foreman his name is Andrew was very professional and explained the process and how the next 4-5 hours would be outlined. He went over all the paperwork and they got right to work. They got the whole thing packed and loaded in 3 and 1/2 hours!!!

I was told that my delivery could take as long as 4 business days (which worried me), but I got my stuff in 2 days! The delivery driver was friendly and professional and there was no one box damaged. The final price for the whole packing/moving service was $1750 and it was exactly the money I was given the estimate to pay from the very beginning!

All things considered it was the smoothest move I've had to date. I will be referring people from my department at work . I hope they have the same experience I did!

I just moved with these guys of NY Movers - New York Movers. I first want to express how friendly their staff was; their foreman Mike, Chris and the other guy from the company's Customer service his name is Andrew were great. They arrived right on time and went straight to work wrapping my furniture and stacking boxes. They were fast, efficient and very professional and worked with care. This local moving company -NY Movers - New York Movers was recommended to me by a friend who had hired them twice previously and was very pleased. I called the Office and got a very competitive price quote after describing the job. They provided me with what they call an "All-inclusive, Flat-rate Quote”, you know in the beginning what price you will pay, no ugly surprises. When the guys finished my 2 bedroom move locally I paid $420 including tips, they didn't charge me for a travel time, no fuel taxes whatever and I will definitely call these movers again as well as recommend this moving service - NY Movers - New York Movers provider and consider them one of the Best local moving companies in the area. Dave was exceptional in leading his movers' team, while moving my furniture including some really heavy items and boxes. Not only were my moves done efficiently, but they also wrapped with like personal care all of my items and saved me time and headaches from doing it myself. When I moved from my old apartment in Midtown Manhattan to a new place in Soho, I used the moving service of NY Movers - New York Movers , and it was my first experience moving my furniture with a local mover so I didn't know what to expect. I had heard from some of my friends how many movers are kind and courteous till they take your money and then the work is outsourced to some other company. Well but I had to move so I called the first company that I saw online with a decent number of positive reviews and that was this mover . When I called their Customer Service office they were very friendly and their office manager nice and friendly young lady gave me a price quote that was very accurate. I wasn’t charged extra for anything except $75 for packaging some of my stuff I decided to add. The driver and the movers were at my house on time and my stuff was delivered with no damages and on time. I would be happy to recommend this company to my friends and to anyone planning on moving soon. They packed and wrapped everything with care and the entire move happened to be just a stress-free moving experience! We used this moving service company based entirely on this site and the comments left here, and so I wanted to leave a rave review here for our recent move. My company was paying for the service, the $1260 price quote came in under that amount, and I liked the way I was treated and our communication with Janet, so we booked them for our long distance move.

Their staff arrived 15 minutes early and loaded our third-floor two-bedroom apartment in about 3 hours. They were very careful with everything, and dealt with care and really well with our furniture. The amount they could haul was amazing! We met them in the city and they sent an extra guy to help with the unload, which made it a lot quicker considering the small elevator. The unload took about 2.5 hours, so the whole day (load, drive, unload) took 12 hours. They came in a little over the estimate, but we paid the capped rate and we gave just over a $250 tip.

We really liked their help from the customer service, and their rates and the pricing policy. The guys were all very nice, friendly, and professional. We definitely plan to use them again if possible in future moves.

Mike and his crew (Arthur, James, Ron and the rest of the gang) were great. On time, careful, respectful of our stuff and the houses, etc, etc. What little issues came up were handled quickly and professionally. I strongly recommend NY Movers - New York Movers.

I used NY Movers - New York Movers to move from the West side of Manhattan to the East Side recently and I was really happy with the job they did. NY Movers - New York Movers did a great job from start to finish. They showed up on time, and got right to work. The movers were dressed professionally, and they did great work. Nothing was damaged or broken and in the end we ended up being happy that we hired them. Considering all of the moving experiences that we have had this was definitely one of the better encounters. WOW- this company is GREAT! From start to finish, this was the best experience I have ever had with a moving company. The customer service reps were so professional, upfront, HONEST and helpful. They gave me a Great quote for my move. I was really afraid that the day of the move, they were going to *spring* new charges on me, as has been my experience with every other mover in this city. But there were no additional charges- the quote they gave me is what they charged me. The move itself was flawless- the guys were punctual and professional. NY Movers - New York Movers moved our furniture from Lower East Side in Manhattan to a new place in Fort Lee, NJ on October, 19 2010. We called about maybe 10 New York City moving companies to get a price quote and almost all of them gave us an approximate price, with hidden charges etc, so I thought that would be better and more secure to get a fixed binding qprice for our move . NY Movers - New York Movers gave us a fixed all-inclusive price of $480 for the entire moving and packing service and the final price was just like estimated. The movers worked fast and with care and nothing was damaged, so i want to say THANK YOU NYC Manhattan Movers for the terrific service and the best binding price!

I don't like 5 star rating unless I rate Miss Universe, but these guys are 100% ABOVE AVERAGE! What we had was a small and unimportant move for these people financially, but I was treated with class the whole way through. Excellent service. I recently moved from NY to UT and decided to book with NY Movers - New York Movers. They gave me a quote of $1,612 and that is excatly what I paid. I was reasurred that my quote would be a gaurenteed quote and with so many stories you read now you never know who to believe. The movers came on time and worked very hard. Within a few hours the movers had everything (my life!) loaded onto the truck. Within a week I received a phone call that my stuff was on its way! My movers bailed on me the morning of my scheduled move. I called NY Movers - New York Movers in despair and Dave made sure a crew could help me out that afternoon. They could only help for a short bit but they worked hard and quickly and moved all my heavy furniture. Definitely recommended.

Let me preface this by saying I've moved a lot. 6 times in 8 years a lot. After moving this often I've come to dread moving day as its always stressful and you never know what you are going to get with a moving company. I called New York Movers - NY Movers Movers about three weeks ahead of my move date to get an estimate. Lenny came over and estimated we would need 24 boxes (there were 21) and 4 hours of move time (it took 3.5 hours) for my entire 1 bedroom apartment. The guys that came were incredibly professional, straightforward, on-time and moved everything quickly and safely. They took apart and reassembled the bed and even provided two wardrobe boxes for our clothes which I was planning to move myself. I was also planning to take my flat-screen TV with me but they had a special box with padding in the truck to move that as well. I don't let anyone touch the TV but I felt so comfortable with the guys I let them take it and there were no problems. This was BY FAR the best move that I have ever experienced and due to the professionalism displayed by the movers it was painless and stress free.
