In 1987, Austinites Leonard and Dottie Strickler had the American dream of starting a business here in Central Texas that would allow them to support their family and the community they grew up in. Leonard’s experience in water filtration sales and seeing the positive difference water quality made for his clients became a passion which made starting American Water in 1987 the perfect fit. Since then, American Water has been supplying Austin / Central Texas area home and business owners with quality water solutions for well and city water. In 1997, American Water decided that in order to provide the best solutions we had to expand our product line. We didn’t have to look far, right here in the USA was Kinetico Water Systems founded in Newberry, OH in 1970 where our products are still made and manufactured today. Here at American Water, we are in this business to help people and when you have Better Water you have a Better Life. We can no longer take our water quality for granted. Water softening and filtration was once considered a luxury item that has now become a necessity. Kinetico water filtration systems are specifically engineered to remove any impurities from your water so, simply, it will be just that: water. The Kinetico products we offer utilize state-of-the-art technologies to provide home and business owners with a clean, safe water filtration system that is both environmentally conscious and cost-effective. Our American Water team has over 250 Years of Water Treatment Experience which we take a lot of pride in. Our service technicians and installers are recognized by the TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality), and we are proud members of the WQA (Water Quality Association).
