Fleischer's Service

Fleischer's Service has been doing electronics repairs at this same location since 1977, and locally since 1972. Fleischer's general coverage area is from Bishop to the South, and Susanville to the North; easterly to Winnemucca, westerly to Hy 49.
Fleischer's specialize in musician's electronics, but also work on HiFi, home electronics, and industrial.

Fleischer's does NOT repair televisions, computers and computer equipment.


Owner, Robert (Bob, or Snowbum) Fleischer, was an electronics engineer. He was the Chief Engineer of Linear Corp., before 'burning out' on the big city (Los Angeles), and moving to Lake Tahoe in 1972. Fleischer's is widely known for very personalized service. Free technical advice is always available, and hourly rates are low....made possible by being in a residential area. Robert is now semi-retired and trying to enjoy the mountains, streams, etc., but Fleischer's is generally open to the public between approximately 1:30 PM and 4 pm, sometimes 7 days a week. Appointments are mandatory.

Products Carried: We do not carry specific brands for sale since we are not in the retail sales business. We are a REPAIR business. We occasionaly have used, repaired items for sale, see our website for the Bargain Basement. We do carry a vast amount of electronics parts, such as vacuum tubes, transistors, resistors, etc., and also supply hobbyists with items that are not available easily.

Brands Carried: We are a full warranty and service station center for Fender Musical Instruments, and several others. Our web site page shows icons for many of the brands we are either Warranty Station for, or that we normally repair.

Atmosphere: Can't resist filling in this category. Our 'Atmosphere' is friendly...but we are located in a LARGE garage, with thousands of 'thingies', cords, wires, parts, and usually there is a motorcycle and a sidecar rig in the garage, and often our small SUV. No free coffee pot with cookies and donuts (However, you can ask, we might brew some coffee....or go out to lunch with you). If you want a TV, ironing board, refrigerator, KingSize Bed, etc...you will have to bring your own!

Amenities: FEW Amenities, besides free coffee when we've had time to make a pot; we do have a rest room. We are not a motel or hotel! ....but we have test equipment and machinery hardly ever found with electronics repair shops, as we sometimes do custom work, antique radio work..... & sometimes really off-the-wall work. We have a LeBlond Regal tool-room-quality lathe, and many other machinery items.

Cuisine: NO cuisine, except what I might make for lunch!

Professional Affiliations: Fender musical instruments authorized service. Many other makes as well. Life Member of the AMA, and the Institute of Radio Engineers.

Awards: Featured in local newspapers...and even on KOLO TV in Reno....etc. We are very proud of having a broadcast television station located over 60 miles from us, feature us on TV!
